Matouks West Indian Hot Sauce is a fruity, medium-heat sauce from Trinidad & Tobago. Also called Matouks West Indian Salsa Picante, the combination of papaya and scotch bonnet peppers featured in this tasty hot sauce will give any dish some tropical flair. And unlike thin, vinegary grocery store hot sauces, Matouks West Indian Sauce will stick to your food, not run off onto your plate or make your sandwich soggy. We like to use this spicy and fruity hot sauce with poultry, fish and shellfish dishes, and it also nicely complements pork and game. One taste of Matouks West Indian Sauce and you’ll understand why it is regularly featured in our top-ten best-selling hot sauce lists! Just make sure you order an extra bottle or more, because the manufacturer sometimes has a hard time keeping up with demand, especially if the local pepper crop has had a bad season.
this is a rather hot sauce with a taste of papaya, habanero (scotch bonnet), garlic, vinegar and mustard. The fist impression is soft with flavours of papaya and onion, after 4 – 5 seconds comes the flavours of habanero and mustard and a good burning heat. Perfect for all kinds of food and also a favorite for my egg sandwiches, as it is thick enough to stay on the sandwich even if I use a lot of it. Ingredients:
papaya, aged pickled scotch bonnet peppers (peppers, vinegar, salt), vinegar, water, modified corn starch, salt, onion powder, lactic acid, garlic powder, mustard, potassium sorbate (preservative) spices, FD&C yellow #5 Wow this is some delicious sauce .
